Monte
Cristo Resto Lounge Wine List will be added
to the Wine Spectator prestigious list, the famous
point of reference consulted by more than two
million connoisseurs worldwide, as early as August
2005. Mr. Alain Rabault, Food & Beverage Manager
at Le Chateau Bonne Entente, will have thus achieved
a double recognition of prestige, obtaining in
March this year, the Prix Carte d’Or, awarded
by the Collège des Ambassadeurs du Vin
in Quebec, and the Award of Excellence by Wine
Spectator.
The Wine Spectator Award
of Excellence by what Mr. Rabault deems to be
the “Wine Bible”, acknowledges Monte
Cristo’s commitment to offer a wine list
that is divided according to grape variety in
which the vintages from Europe’s best wine
makers are listed alongside those from the Americas
and Australia. Moreover, the wine selection is
always in perfect harmony with the new concept
introduced by Monte Cristo to its guests: a cascade
of Signature dishes served as entrées.
Moderate prices are a call to temptation for a
Château Pichon Lalande 1990, a 1995 vintage,
a Masseto 1996, Toscana IGT... limited only by
a sense of daring. Monte Cristo is an invitation
to an educational trip around the world in which
experience surpasses the senses.
Hundreds of red and white wine bottles are kept
in a glass partitioned cellar with African wood
floors, where an optimal temperature is strictly
kept. In the hotel’s basement, we can find
the cellar reserved for aging the wines, in which
wines destined to be served in 2006 - 2007 are
kept. In Monte Cristo’s Lounge it is possible,
through a tasting menu by the glass, the “Wine
Flight” to experience a truly personalized
gustatory trip. Why not share this pleasure with
friends? We
endeavour to make things easy... Babysitter problems
are not part of the daily schedule at Monte Cristo.
