Just like you, Château Bonne Entente is deeply concerned about the environment and the health of the planet. Just like you, we want to be part of the solution… That’s why we are focusing on the inheritance that we will leave for future generations. Because we look to tomorrow, the EcoResponsible turn we have taken is one of sustainable development.
We are proud to collect:
- Recyclable materials: paper, cardboard, plastic and metal;
- Organic materials: from the preparation and serving of meals.

Everything has been set up to manage precious resources such as water and energy in the best way possible. The URBANIA suites and TERZO are, for example, equipped with low-flush toilets that will enable us to save almost 500,000 litres of water this year. Some of our washrooms even have waterless urinals. Imagine this…
Under the heading, “energy efficiency,” we have completely revamped our lighting. From now on, we will be counting on eco-energy light bulbs. Several projects of the same type will be undertaken over the course of the next few years to maximize our performance and reduce our consumption of electricity and natural gas.
Vision shared with our employees
Internally, the paper we use for our photocopies, just like the one used for our clients, is 100% post-consumer recycled fibre. This decision alone will :
- Stop 66 trees from being cut down;
- Save 180,000 litres of water;
- Prevent the generation of 4 tonnes of greenhouse gases (GHG).
The hotel has always favoured sustainable and reusable products but intends to go much further and establish a responsible purchasing policy to promote the purchase of products that have little impact on the environment and are, for the most part, produced by the local economy. In addition, in solidarity with workers in the southern countries, we offer our clients fair-trade certified organic coffees as well as wines that are also fair-trade certified.
"EcoResponsable" meetings
Now, our clients can also hold “EcoResponsible” meetings and events. Not only will we minimize the residual materials generated by the event, but we will also look to reduce the impact of participant transportation. For those who wish, we will, in fact, promote car-pooling and also, after the event, the purchase of carbon credits to compensate for the pollution created and that will serve to support clean energy projects in developing countries.
Finally, in our “promotion” section, discover the reduced rates that we are offering to those who use collective transportation – the train, bus, car-pooling – as well as to those who would like a room with an ecological finish.
The Château Bonne Entente has entered into a new era, that of EcoResponsibility.
